Integrate energy systems
EdgeTech makes chargers, smart meters, solar inverters, batteries, heat pumps, building systems and grid signals work together. We do not sell the panels, the batteries or the heat pumps; we supply the technology, the control logic and the integration that connects them.

What we connect, and how
| System | Interface we use | What we do with it |
|---|---|---|
| EV charger | Modbus RTU (ours, open), OCPP (on order), Matter Energy EVSE | Per-second current limits, sessions, authorisation |
| Smart meter | P1 on a DSMR 5 meter | Site load and export per phase, every second |
| Solar inverter | Export seen at the meter; Modbus/SunSpec where needed | Solar-surplus charging, export limits |
| Home battery | Modbus, Matter, vendor API where available | Charge from surplus, discharge for the car, price arbitrage |
| Heat pump | SG-Ready contacts; EEBus (planned) | Boost on surplus or cheap hours, block on congestion |
| Building management system (BMS/GBS, or its energy module BEMS) | Modbus, REST API, Matter | The building monitors and controls our chargers |
| Grid signals | GridShield (ElaadNL), congestion windows | Last-resort scale-down, contracted limits |
| Prices and weather | Our backend: imbalance, day-ahead, forecasts; solar forecast per installation | Cheapest hours, expected surplus |
Applications
- Home: one or more chargers on one connection, solar, cheapest hours.
- Flats, VvE and offices: shared connection, fair sharing, billing, the building’s own management system.
- Building sites: temporary chargers, no cabling.
- Car parks and DC sites: Plaza Charge, overnight fleets.
- Grid operators: GridShield.
- Heat pumps and HEMS: always safe, steerable by AI.
